Established in 1929, Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics is one of the country's most respected technical schools. PIA is well-known among the industries it serves, because the Institute strives to provide students with superior, "hands-on" education in the areas of Aviation Maintenance, Aviation Electronics, Electronic Systems, and Mechanical Systems.
PIA offers accredited Associate in Specialized Technology degrees. PIA graduates are also eligible for FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification examinations.
